Campus Ind ("we", "us", "our") provides a school administration platform for managing students, staff, academics, transport, and daily operations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use our website, admin portal, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

This policy applies to school administrators, teachers, staff, drivers, parents, and other authorised users who access the Service on behalf of an educational institution. Student and minor data is processed only as directed by the school, which remains responsible for lawful consent and communication with parents or guardians.

We may collect the following categories of information:

Account and identity data: name, email address, phone number, role, login credentials (stored in hashed form), and session tokens.

School operational data: student profiles, admissions, attendance, class and subject assignments, exam records, staff and parent contact details, transport routes, bus assignments, and operational announcements.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, access timestamps, and logs used for security, troubleshooting, and audit purposes.

Communications: messages or support requests you send to us regarding the Service.

We use personal information to provide, maintain, and improve the Service; authenticate users; enforce access controls; generate reports for authorised school staff; support transport and safety workflows; respond to support enquiries; comply with legal obligations; and protect against fraud, abuse, or security incidents.

Schools using the Service act as data fiduciaries for student and parent data. We act as a data processor or technology provider to the extent we process such data on the school's instructions. Schools must ensure they have a lawful basis—such as consent, legitimate use for education, or legal obligation—before uploading personal data to the platform.

We may share information with cloud hosting providers, infrastructure vendors, and professional advisers who are bound by confidentiality and security obligations and who process data only to deliver the Service.

We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, schools, or the public.

We do not disclose student personal information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

We retain personal information for as long as the school's account is active, as needed to provide the Service, or as required by law or contractual agreement with the school. Schools may request export or deletion of data subject to technical limitations and legal retention requirements.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards—including access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), and authenticated sessions—to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; schools should also maintain strong passwords and limit admin access to authorised personnel.

Depending on applicable law, individuals may have the right to access, correct, update, or withdraw consent for their personal data, subject to the school's policies and our role as a service provider. Requests regarding student data should generally be directed to the school first; we will assist schools in fulfilling verified requests where appropriate.

The Service is intended for use by schools and authorised adults. Student records relate to minors and must be managed by the school in line with applicable child protection and education regulations. We do not knowingly permit children to create standalone consumer accounts on the public marketing site.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy where permitted by law.
