1. Agreement to terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Campus Ind school administration platform, website, and related services (the "Service") operated by Campus Ind ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the educational institution you represent. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service
Campus Ind provides tools for schools to manage users, students, academics, transport, and operations. Features may change over time. We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Our tagline—"Safe journey, bright future"—reflects our product vision for safe student transport and positive educational outcomes; it is not a standalone warranty or service-level commitment unless expressly agreed in writing.
3. Eligibility and accounts
The Service is for authorised school personnel and other users invited by a school. You must provide accurate registration information, keep credentials confidential, and notify your school administrator immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
4. School responsibilities
Schools are responsible for the accuracy of data entered into the Service, obtaining necessary consents from parents or guardians, complying with applicable education and child-protection laws, and defining internal policies for staff access.
Schools must not upload unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content, and must use the Service only for legitimate educational and administrative purposes.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data; (b) interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service; (c) reverse engineer or scrape the Service except as permitted by law; (d) use the Service to send spam or malware; or (e) misuse personal data obtained through the platform.
We may investigate violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Campus Ind or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Schools retain ownership of their own data. We receive a limited licence to host and process school data solely to provide the Service.
7. Fees and payment
Where the Service is provided under a paid agreement with a school, fees, billing cycles, and renewal terms will be specified in a separate order form or contract. Failure to pay applicable fees may result in suspension of access after reasonable notice.
8. Confidentiality
Each party will treat non-public information received through the Service as confidential and use it only for permitted purposes, except where disclosure is required by law or already public through no fault of the receiving party.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
School transport and safety decisions remain the responsibility of the school and qualified personnel. The Service supports record-keeping and operations but does not replace professional judgment, regulatory compliance, or physical safety measures.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from use of the Service.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service shall not exceed the fees paid by the school to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or INR 10,000 if the Service is provided without charge, unless a higher limit is required by mandatory law.
11. Indemnity
Schools agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of the school's misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate access in accordance with a school agreement or by providing notice where no separate contract exists. Upon termination, access to the Service will cease and data handling will follow our Privacy Policy and any applicable data-processing terms with the school.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that cannot be waived.
Parties will attempt in good faith to resolve disputes through negotiation before initiating formal proceedings.
14. General provisions
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any signed school agreement, constitute the entire agreement regarding the Service.
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page. Material changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date.
